KPOM and Yimei Team Up on Mill Wastewater Treatment
Our wastewater treatment equipment is now in operation at Keningau Palm Oil Mill (KPOM), treating the mill's palm oil mill effluent on site.
Palm oil mills produce a large volume of wastewater, known as palm oil mill effluent (POME), and treating it properly is essential for any mill, including Keningau Palm Oil Mill (KPOM) (kpom.my).

The treatment plant from the air
The plant sits beside the mill, surrounded by oil palms. Wastewater flows through a series of concrete treatment basins, with our blue treatment units housed under the covered shed in front.

Our equipment up close
Under the shed, chemical dosing tanks feed the treatment units, and skimmers on our flotation tanks continuously remove the sludge that collects on the surface, separating solids from the water.

Better together
For KPOM, this means the mill’s wastewater is treated on site with equipment built for the job. For Yimei, KPOM is a working example of what our equipment can do at a palm oil mill.
